"Shoe Frenzy": Quilt Art by Rebekka Seigel

I was preparing to teach a class on appliqué and wanted something to demonstrate my techniques on so I began this piece by just appliquéing shoes on in a random way. I liked it so much, especially with the addition of a leg or two here and there, that I continued adding shoes until all the original 30 designs made for my daughter’s quilt were a part of this quilt as well.
