"Shoes in the City": Quilt Art by Rebekka Seigel

This quilt contains the images of 30 high heeled shoes and was a gift for my daughter’s thirtieth birthday. The shoes are all hand appliquéd as is the “leg fan” in the center. The sashing in this quilt is of a cityscape and since Nellie lives in Chicago and loves to wear heels, it seemed a most appropriate image to celebrate this phase of her life.
